Clarence Stewart, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Clarence Stewart, Jr., 77, of 410 Airport Road, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at The Laurels of Salisbury.
Funeral services for Mr. Stewart will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Truth Temple. The Rev. Garland Faw and Rev. Joel Fowler, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends in the church from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service Friday. At other times they will be at the residence.
Mr. Stewart was born October 15, 1929 in Rowan County, a son of the late Clarence Stewart, Sr. and Annie Wilhelm Stewart. He was a member of Truth Temple and served in the US Army in Korea. He retired from Royal Crown Bottling Company after over 30 years employment.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Fowler Stewart, one daughter, Carmen Strickland and her husband, Tony of China Grove, two grandchildren, Kristen Mann and her husband, Alex of Landis and Brandon Strickland of China Grove.
