David Eugene Eagle Sr's Obituary
Mr. David Eugene Eagle, Sr., 77, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Brookstone Retirement Center in Lexington.
A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mike Roper will officiate. Interment is scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 pm Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Eagle was born February 14, 1947 in Mooresville. He was a son of the late Lois Swink Eagle and Richard Wright Eagle. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and Air Force Reserves. He formerly worked as a detective with the Rowan County Sheriff's Department and was a Salisbury Police Officer. Mr. Eagle was known for his love of civil war history.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Eagle.
Mr. Eagle is survived by his wife, Judy Moore Eagle; son, David E. Eagle, Jr.; step-son, Brad Jordan and wife Carla; step-daughter, Crystal Parks and husband James; brother, Kevin Eagle and wife Cathy; an uncle, Bobby Eagle; and four grandchildren, Meghan and Olivia Eagle, Valarie Jordan, and Taylor Parks.
