Dianna Marie Valente's Obituary
Ms. Dianna M. Howard-Valente, 47, a resident of Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury with family and friends by her side, after a brief battle with cancer.
A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Roper will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Ms. Valente was born June 15, 1968 in Stoughton, MA. She was a daughter of James L. Howard and the late Rosalie C. Benson-Martin. Formerly of Brockton, MA., she was a graduate of Brockton High School. Her passions included loving and caring for her children, family, and friends. She also enjoyed her job at the post office, brightening the lives of all the people she touched.
Ms. Valente, in addition to her father, is survived by daughter, Dominique A. Valente of Kannapolis; son, Antonio J. Valente of Kannapolis; brother, Kevin T. Martin of Carver, MA; two sisters Tracey L. Martin-Doherty of Bridgewater, MA, and Kelly A. Martin-Young of Nashville, TN; fiancé, David E. Melson; six nephews; and two nieces.
The family requests that memorials be made to the college funds for Dominique Valente and Antonio Valente, 406 Brentwood Circle, Kannapolis, NC 28081, or to Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
