Donald L. Phillips' Obituary
Donald Lee "Don" Phillips, 74, of 2218 Woodcrest Drive, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2005, at Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Otis Snow will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence.
Born April 3, 1931, in Mecklenburg County, he was the son of the late Jess Willard Phillips and Dorothy Davis Phillips. He was the retired owner and operator of Phillips Electric in Kannapolis. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church where he was a member of the United Methodist Men.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Fink Phillips; a daughter, Donna Phillips Smith and husband, Scott, of Huntsville, Alabama; a son, David Bryson Phillips and wife, Robin, of Salisbury; two sisters, Shirley Phillips West and husband, Lewis, of Mint Hill and Dolores Phillips Daniels and husband, Robert, of Kannapolis; and a granddaughter, Jessica Ryan Phillips.
