Donald Hoyle Rodgers' Obituary
Mr. Donald Hoyle Rodgers, 62, of 920 Laura Avenue, Kannapolis, NC, died Sunday, February 15, 2004, at NorthEast Medical Center in Concord.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Harris and Rev. Don Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mr. Rodgers mother-in-law, Kathleen Herring, 1345 Sharon Street, Kannapolis.
Mr. Rodgers was born April 9, 1941 in Rowan County. He was the son of the late Hoyle Brown Rodgers and Lillie Carolene Reavis Rodgers. He was retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon after 42 years of service in the folding department. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a his sister, Dian R. Corriher.
Mr. Rodgers is survived by his wife, Sharon H. Rodgers; daughter, Rhonda R. Strachan of Kannapolis; two nephews, Robert Corriher and his wife, Kim, of Hickory, NC and Larry Corriher, Jr., and his wife, Teresa, of Chattanooga, TN.
