Donna Jean Brotherton Pope's Obituary
Mrs. Donna Jean Brotherton Pope, 66, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017, at her residence.
A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be 11:00 am Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:45 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Donna was born January 23, 1951 in Mooresville. She was the daughter of the late James McCall Brotherton, Jr. and Norma Jean Tutterow Brotherton. She graduated from South Rowan High School, class of 1969 and later went to NC State and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. She was a loving grandmother who loved watching her grandchildren in soccer and gymnastics.
Donna is survived by her husband of 46 years Ray Pope; son, Brad Pope and wife Tina of Prosper, TX; brothers, Jeff Brotherton and wife Donna and Mike Brotherton and wife Trena and their daughter Hanna Brotherton, both of China Grove; two grandchildren Ellie Pope and Blake Pope.
