Dorothy Constance Riddell Campbell's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Constance Riddell Campbell, our dearest mom, as you soar to the clouds, like the birds you always loved to watch, remember that you were loved and adored by all the lives you touched. The void that has been created by your passing is as immense as the love we all have for you. Those who have known you will always feel that they have been in the presence of an angel.
She is 89 years old and made her home in Kannapolis. Mrs. Campbell passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm Monday, July 18, 2011, in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. John Mark Beam will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 pm Monday prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Campbell was born November 19, 1921 in New York a daughter of the late James A. Riddell and Elizabeth English Riddell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G.J. Campbell, Jr., in March 2001.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by a son, William J. Campbell and wife, Viviana of Elmont, NY; three daughters, Catherine E. Hayes and husband Dennis of Moriches, NY, Connie R. Apicella of Brooklyn, NY and Peggy Garney and husband James of China Grove; brother, James Riddell of Evanston, IL; nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
