Dorothy Jean Mason Daniels' Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Jean "Dot" Mason Daniels, 74, of 711 Evelyn Avenue, died Sunday, January 4, 2009, at her home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Daniels will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Chuck Halipilias will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. tonight at Lady's Funeral Home. Headquarters for the family will be at her home on Evelyn Avenue.
Born in Cabarrus County on July 17, 1934, Mrs. Daniels was a daughter of the late, Walter F. Mason and Minnie Maude Cox Mason. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Daniels, who died December 24, 1998.
She was a member of Jackson Park United Methodist Church. She retired from Jackson Park Elementary School where she worked as a teacher assistant for many years, and also worked at Bonworth in Kannapolis.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan D. Blackenbeckler and Sally Wally and her husband, Joel; two sons, Scott Daniels and wife, Laurie and Stephen Daniels and wife, Michelle, all of Kannapolis. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Marcus Daniels, Carley Daniels, Haley Daniels, Dustin Wyatt, Holly Wyatt, Nicholas Daniels and Madison Daniels and one great grandchild, Alyssa Mullis.
