Douglas G. Berrier's Obituary
Mr. Douglas Gene "Butch" Berrier, 66, of 1924 Normandy Road, Kannapolis, died Friday, February 18, 2005, at his residence following five years of declining health.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert D. Howard will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mr. Berrier.
Mr. Berrier was born March 31, 1938 in Lexington, NC. He was a son of the late Henry L. Berrier and Gretchen Cassidy Berrier. He was retired from the number six weave room of Cannon Mills Plant one in Kannapolis.
Mr. Berrier is survived by his wife, Nancy Miles Berrier; two sons, Jeff Berrier and his wife, Judy, of Jefferson, SC and Rusty Berrier of Kannapolis; sister, Alene Fry of Kannapolis; two brothers, Cecil Berrier of Concord and Bob Berrier of Lexington; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Berrier, Jr., Amity Johnson, Michael Odem, Jason Odem, Ashley Berrier, and Jessica Berrier; and four great grandchildren, Ella Johnson, Noah Johnson, Eli Johnson, and Natilie Johnson.
