Duncan Lafoy Hubbard's Obituary
Mr. Duncan Lafoy "Foy" Hubbard, 83, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Tucker Hospice House.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Carolina Memorial Park Mausoleum. Rev. Leroy Blankenship will officiate.
Mr. Hubbard was born May 14, 1933 in Fayetteville, NC. He was a son of the late Milton Hubbard and Vesta McAlister Hubbard. He worked for Cannon Mills in the #1 weave room of Plant One for 25 years. He later opened and operated West A Lounge before his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Carter.
Mr. Hubbard is survived by his wife, Betty Freeman Hubbard; two daughters, Karen Previtte and husband Robert of Kannapolis and Jenny Robinson and huband Clyde of Mooresville; son, Duncan Hubbard of Kannapolis; step-daughter, Shelia Yow and husband Robert of Kannapolis; step-son, Michael Dorton of Kannapolis; sister, Alda Mullis of Kannapolis; two brothers, Larry Hubbard of Kannapolis and Johnny Hubbard of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren, Michelle Miles and Angie Howard, both of Kannapolis, Cecily Burch of China Grove, Nicholas Bowlin of Tampa, FL and Brittany Bowlin of Mooresville; four great grandchildren, Mia Howard and Adysen Howard, both of Kannapolis and Emily Burch and Joseph Burch, both of China Grove; five step-grandchildren, Casey Robinson of Mooresville, Megan Dorton and Chase Dorton, both of California, Jennifer McCullough and husband Josh of Lexington and Charles Willliams, Jr. of Orlando, FL.
