Elora LuJean Sweatt Faggart's Obituary
Elora LuJean Faggart was born August or September 20, 1932; depending on which birth certificate you happened upon. The Cabarrus County doctor that delivered Elora, originally wrote the wrong month on the certificate. Elora confirmed the month was August and sixty years later the error was corrected.
She was the daughter of Raleigh Newton and Ruby Olive Smart Sweatt; sister to Jackie, Paul, Darolene, Jerry, and Joyce; wife of 58 years to William Edward Faggart; mother to Bryan, Brent and Sterling; grandmother to Meredith, Evan, and Aiden.
She was a cancer survivor that loved her family and taught her three sons how to treat others with respect. Elora worked for over 40 years at Cannon Mills in the pillowcase department. She was a member of Phaniels Baptist Church where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband “Edward” with a graveside service at 1:00 pm Tuesday. The family will greet friends following the service.
She will live on in our hearts and our memories.
