Emma Moss Sloop's Obituary
Mrs. Emma Moss Sloop, 94, of China Grove passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Best of Care Assisted Living in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, February 7, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Landis. Rev. Candice Carter will officiate. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Friday in the church parlor.
Emma was born on March 18, 1930 in Stanly County. She was a daughter of the late Barney Reid Moss and Catherine Cranford Moss. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening and canning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Gilbert Sloop in 2016; her son, James Cauble; three sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane McKnight and husband David of China Grove; two step-daughters, Joyce Powel of Salisbury and Judy Sloan and husband David of Kannapolis; two sisters, Frances Lomax of Misenheimer and Joyce File of Salisbury; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
