Esther Ruth Britt Ingram's Obituary
Mrs. Esther Ruth Woodward Britt Ingram, 93, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
A memorial service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. John's Reformed Church. Dr. Christopher King will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 am Saturday in the church Fellowship Hall.
Esther was born August 12, 1931 in Kannapolis. She was a daughter of the late Adam Woodward and Ruby Tuck Woodward. She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church where she participated in the choir, Women's Circle, Vacation Bible School and baked cakes for their weekly hot dog sale and she also loved doing cross stitch. She attended Cannon High School in 1947 and retired from Terry Products in 1995 following 20 years of employment.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace W. Britt who died in 1969; her second, husband of 47 years, Ralph E. Ingram, who died in 2018; three sisters, Audrey Collins, Ariel Furr, and Doretha Overcash; and one grandson Bryon C. Sheets.
Esther is survived by two daughters, Darien Lynn Sheets of China Grove and Catherine Ann Copeland husband Dennis of Clover, SC; sister, Claudia Daves of Salisbury; three grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Sheets-Eudy and husband Chad, Lisa Ann Cruz and husband Noel and Christopher Copeland; four great grandchildren, Aubrey Eudy, Joshua Eudy, Selene Cruz and Nathan Cruz; and her good friends, Jimmy and Darlene McGinnis.
