Etta Lucille Ashby's Obituary
Mrs. Etta Lucille Overcash Ashby, 96, of Rockwell went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
She was the daughter of the late Columbus Monroe Overcash and Sarah Elizabeth Overcash. Mrs. Ashby is survived by a son, Billy Ray Ashby and wife Jackie of Pleasant Garden; daughters, Carolyn Boyd of Rockwell, Kathryn Barkley and husband William of Salisbury; grandchildren, Bill Ashby, Jr., George Boyd and wife Ann, Jeff Boyd and wife Angela, Rev. Duane Holt and wife Sharon, Steve Hunt and wife Dawn, Mark Lefler, and Tina Duke and husband Larry. 15 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren..
The family will receive friends Monday, September 24, 2012, from 12:30 to 1:45 pm at Lady's Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm in Lady's Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
Mrs. Ashby was a Homemaker. She formerly was employed by Cannon Mills Co. She was a member of Freedom Christian Worship Center in Rockwell.
The family would like to offer a special thank you, to the staff of the Tucker Hospice House, for the care Mrs. Ashby was given, during her illness.
