Eugene Johnson's Obituary
Mr. Eugene Johnson, 68, of 807 Academy Street, Kannapolis, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Born April 16, 1940, in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Horace Lane Johnson and Minnie Davis Johnson. He was retired from Parkdale Mills in Landis, and formerly worked as a supervisor at F.C.M. in Garfield, New Jersey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Loretta Knapp Johnson, who died November 22, 2006; five brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Tomo and husband, Bruce, of Cedar Grove, NJ; son, Robert M. Johnson and wife, Patty, of Bethlehem, PA; two sisters, Carolyn Brindle, Alice Faye McGrady and husband, John M. McGrady, Sr., all of China Grove; two granddaughters, Jennifer Tomo and Nicole Tomo; a close friend, Frank Phillips of Rockwell; and lots of loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home.
