Eunice Walker Brown's Obituary
Eunice "Jackie" Alene Walker Brown, 93, of 100 Morris Road, died Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the Oaks at Brevard Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at Fletcher First Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy W. Waldroup officiating.
A native of Davidson County, she resided in Kannapolis for over 50 years and had resided in Brevard the past 4 years. She retired in 1976 from Cannon Mills Company, Plant #10 in Concord. She was an active member of Center Grove Lutheran Church in Kannapolis where she taught Vacation Bible School and a member of Opti Mrs Club for many years.
Mrs. Brown was very active in the P.T.A. at Royal Oaks Elementary School and served as a Grade Parent for 6 years.
She was the daughter of the late William Walker and Katherine "Carrie" Coggins Walker and wife of the late Luther Linn Brown who died April 22, 2007. Also, preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Ann Brown, brothers, Tom, Dan and Elijah Walker, sisters, Mary Snow, Irene Troutman, Lula Greene, Mattie Snider and Kate Hedrick.
Surviving are her daughter, Katherine Brown Therrell and husband, John of Fletcher; grandchildren, Christina T. Smith and husband, Brant of Nashville, TN and John Patrick Therrell and wife, Tasha of Jackson, TN; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Garrett and Landon.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 26, 2007, under the direction of Lady's Funeral Home, at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis with the Rev. Diane Wales from Center Grove Lutheran Church officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 1:45 PM at Fletcher First Baptist Church.
