Eva Miller Jones' Obituary
Mrs. Eva Miller Jones, 84, formerly of Birch Street in Kannapolis, died Sunday, January 4, 2004, at Genesis Eldercare in Salisbury, following one year of declining health.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John Haas and the Rev. Rich Szekley will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born June 24, 1919, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late David A. Miller and Jane Kendall Miller. She was a member of West Point Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones retired in 1985 from the spinning room of Cannon Mills, Plant One in Kannapolis.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue Teal of Kannapolis; a son, Jimmy Jones of Kannapolis; one brother, Sam Miller of Richfield; four grandchildren, Lesley Standish, Kathryn Strider, Amy Jones and David Teal; and four great-grandchildren.
