Floy Jackson Cook's Obituary
Mrs. Floy Jane Jackson Cook, 94, of Kannapolis, died Friday, February 27, 2009, at Big Elm Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born March 17, 1914 in Lenoir, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ella Roberts Jackson. She retired in 1976 from the spinning room of Cannon Mills Plant No. 4. Mrs. Cook was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church where she was active in Circle #1.
Floy was deeply involved in her family. She was like a mother and grandmother to those who needed her. She selflessly gave of her time and love to all who needed it. She is affectionately remembered as "Ma-maw Floy."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Cook.
Survivors include her son, Harold Lee Cook of Kannapolis; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
