Frances Gabriel McLain's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Frances "Fran" Gabriel McLain, 69, of 403 East 25th Street, Kannapolis, died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at NorthEast Medical Center.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Lane Street Church of God. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The Rev. Wade Easom will officiate.
The family will greet friends at Lane Street Church of God following the memorial service. At other times they will be at the residence.
Born November 12, 1932, in Union County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Clarence W. Gabriel and the late Rebecca Jane Williams Gabriel. She was the co-manager of Arby's on South Cannon Boulevard in Kannapolis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie McLain, who died in 1972.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy M. Head and her husband, Tony, of Kannapolis; a son, Joe McLain and his wife, Cindy, of China Grove; a sister, Nancy Elizabeth "Lib" Frodge of Kannapolis; five grandchildren, Chris Hogue, Beth Morrison, Amy Gainey, Jessica Head, and Todd Coggins; eight great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Kim Welch and Sherry Greene.
