Frances Caldwell Perry's Obituary
Mrs. Frances Caldwell Perry, 80, formerly of Pennsylvania Avenue, Kannapolis, died Friday, November 22, 2002, at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday at Royal Oaks Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Larry Pittman and the Rev. John F. Perry, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of daughter, Fran Nunn, 120 Vista Drive, Davidson, NC.
Mrs. Perry was born July 26, 1922 in Mecklenburg County. She was a daughter of the late Ervin Quittman Caldwell and Mittie Jane Bumgarner Caldwell. She had lived in this area for 60 years and was a homemaker and formerly worked for Cannon Mills Company. She was a member of Royal Oaks Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder. Her husband, John Frank Perry, Sr., preceded her in death on November 1, 1985.
Mrs. Perry is survived by a daughter, Fran Nunn and her husband, Wilkie, of Davidson; two sons, John Perry, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Rutherfordton, Michael Perry and his wife, Barbara, of Buchanan, VA; five sisters, Merle Barnette, Louise Barkley, Jennie Barkley, and Helen Gilbert, all of Huntersville, Margaret Ward of Maryland; two brothers, Tommy Caldwell of Mooresville, Roy Caldwell of Huntersville; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
