Gary Paul Reavis' Obituary
Mr. Gary Paul Reavis, 59, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013, at CMC-NorthEast.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 12:45 pm Thursday, prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Reavis was born on June 29, 1953 in Rowan County. He was a son of the late David McKenzie Reavis and Pauline "Polly" Yon Reavis. He was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School. Gary retired as a truck driver for Builder's First Source. He was an avid deer hunter. Gary was a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed football.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David "Butch" Reavis.
Mr. Reavis is survived by his wife, Tamara Lunsford Reavis; two daughters, January Stevenson and Nikki Caudill and husband Nathan; three brothers, Douglas "Doug" Reavis of Rockwell, Thomas "Tommy" Reavis of Albemarle and Gene Reavis of Concord; and four grandchildren.
