Gilbert Paul Wingler's Obituary
Mr. Gilbert Paul Wingler,68, of 5952 Turkey Road, Kannapolis, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2002, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, November 9, 2002, at Elwood Lane Freewill Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:30 until 2:00 PM. The Rev. Dan Jordan, Rev. Tom Parrish, Rev. Brown Bost and the Rev. David Parrish will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Wingler was a native of North Wilkesboro. He was a son of the late Spencer and Ila Huffman Wingler. He was retired from Fiber Industries and was a United States Army veteran having served in Korea. He was also an active member of Elwood Lane Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. Wingler is survived by his wife, Betty Wagoner Wingler; children, Timothy Paul and Teressa Wingler of Inman, SC and Judy and David Hargis of China Grove; three sisters, Beatrice Steen of Kannapolis, Rosa Lee Arrowood of Florida and Betty Sue Clary of Lexington, NC; one step-sister, Janie Griffin of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Taylor and Morgan Wingler, Matthew and Megan Hargis.
