Gladys Rhodes Fowler's Obituary
Mrs. Gladys Rhodes Fowler, 73, of 118 Arlene Avenue, Kannapolis, died Wednesday, December 31, 2003, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2004, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Todd Posey and the Rev. Ralph Adams will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. At other times they will be at the residence.
Born January 19, 1930, in Franklin County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late George Washington Rhodes and Kermit Marie Grogan Rhodes. She retired from the sheet department of Cannon Mills Company. Mrs. Fowler was a member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Alfred Fowler, who died in September 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Fowler and James Ronald Fowler, both of Kannapolis; four grandchildren, Joy Leann Pillsbury, Dennis Lee Fowler II, Jessie Lee Fowler II and Jonathan Thomas Fowler; and four great-grandchildren.
