Gladys Ann Tate's Obituary
Mrs. Gladys Ann Beaver Tate, 94, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Liberty Commons Nursing Center in Salisbury.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gene Beaver will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tate was born May 23, 1921 in Rowan County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Sloan Odell Beaver and Mamie Lillian Rodgers Beaver. She worked for Cannon Mills Plant #1 as a winder. She was a member of Crown Pointe Baptist Church. Mrs. Tate loved to fish and garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Baker Tate; one daughter, Shirley Wilhite; and one grandchild.
Mrs. Tate is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Weaver and husband Charles of Kannapolis; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
