Glenda Weaver's Obituary
Ms. Glenda Turner Weaver, 55, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at her home.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Lady�s Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. J. Randolph Lucas II will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm on Sunday at Lady�s Funeral Home.
Glenda was born March 7, 1957 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Hazel Lee Turner and Margaret Gilland Turner. Glenda worked in Kannapolis City Schools and served as a teacher at Head Start for 16 years. She was a caring and devoted teacher to her students and the families that she served for the Head Start program. She started her teaching career as a parent and volunteer in the program and went on to earn her Bachelor�s degree at Catawba College. She was presently pursuing her Master�s Degree at Gardner Webb. The faculty, parents, and students of McKnight have suffered a great loss, and will miss her terribly.
Glenda is survived by her daughter, Ashlee Weaver, who attends Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and her sister, Pat Blake and her husband Jim of Rock Hill, SC.
