Mrs. Goldia Lucille Cranford Cruse, 89, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Morningside Assisted Living Center in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Re Read Obituary
It was probably 38 years ago when I climbed into your lap in ATL, and asked if you could be my Grandma. You graciously accepted and you were always "Grandma Cruse". So many memories over the holidays, and so many years have passed since. I am thankful you got to see my kids (your adopted great-grandchildren) before you got to see PopPop again. Alex, I mourn for Grandma, but I know she is happy in her heart with Pop. I wish you all the very best, and with all my love.... Damien
Alex, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I know she was a sweet, wonderful mother and will be greatly missed. Know that you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. It will take time and prayers to get thru this initial time. I am still having a hard time with missing my mother. God never puts more on us than we can handle and will help us thru anything. We just need to know He has them in His care now and they are healthy and happy. We will see them again one day! Hugs and much love!

I'll never forget how welcoming your mom was to me when I came over to visit Susan as a teen-ager. Your mom was a well-respected professional whose life epitomized service and dedication our community. She surely was an inspiration to many young women. God Bless your family.

Goldia and I use to teach Sunday School to the younger kids at the old Calvary Lutheran Church. She was such a special lady & church member!
