Grace Marie Burgess' Obituary
Ms. Grace Marie Burgess, 77, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wes Judy will officiate. Interment will follow at Misenheimer Family Cemetery in Concord.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Ms. Burgess was born September 20, 1947 in Concord. She was a daughter of the late Paul Baxter Burgess and Elizabeth Jane Taylor Burgess. Marie was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. She enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, as well as traveling and going to estate sales. Marie was a manager who was instrumental in preparing clinics for numerous urology practices.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Carolyn Ann "Candy" Twitty; and four brothers, George Baxter Burgess, Allen Duncan Burgess, Paul Sylvester "Red" Burgess, and Larry Donald Burgess.
Ms. Burgess is survived by three children, Stephen Lee Dabbs and wife Jenine of Dallas, GA, Michael Paul Lefler of Rockwell, and Sandra "Sandi" Marie Sielinski of Gainesville, VA; sister, Mary Elizabeth Burgess of Kannapolis; brother, Levi Burgess of Rockwell; and eight grandchildren, Austin Martinez, Melinda Martinez Santos, Logan Dabbs, Zachary Dabbs, Michael Paul Lefler, Jr., Taylor Sielinski, Brendan Sielinski, and Hope Sielinski.
