Grace Vivian Waters Waldrop's Obituary
Grace Waters Waldrop, of Kannapolis, passed away December 11, 2011 after a short stay at the Tucker Hospice House. She was born on May 18, 1925 in Anderson County, South Carolina. She retired in 1995 from Mecklenburg County Social Services after 21 years of service. She was active in her family and her yard work and loved both.
She is a mother of two: a son, Robert A. Watson of Kannapolis and a daughter, Barbara J. Erwin of Tennessee. She is mother-in-law to: Sharon Watson and Tommy Erwin. She is grandmother to: Angie T., Angela W., Sean M., Shane, Travis, Jennifer, and Nathan Watson. She is great grandmother to: Erin, Anthony, Latoya, Cessilee, Cruz, Caitlin, Jeremy, Caroline, Seraphina, Watson, Britton and Brinson Williams, Morgan, Heather, Matt, and Alli Leahey and Taylor and Tyler Carbenia, and Peyton Cannon. She is great-great grandmother to: Naveigha, Janeigha, Bentley Red Cloud, Hunter, La'monte, and Jade Watson and Zannah Riah Baker.
Grace was preceded in death by: husband, Howard Waldrop, and two sons, Perry Eugene and Timothy Ray Watson. Grace was a Member of Enochville Church of God.
Viewing will be from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Enochville Church of God, 199 North Enochville Avenue, Kannapolis. Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. December 14, 2011 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte. Pastor David Shoemake of Enochville Church of God will conduct the service.
