Grady Francis Crook's Obituary
Mr. Grady Francis Crook, 84, of 503 Queensgate Drive, Kannapolis, died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Brian Center Nursing and Rehabilitation in Concord.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Willie Rash, Rev. Leo Morgan and Rev. Jim Grigg will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Born December 11, 1922, in Madison County, GA, he was the son of the late Richard Bernard Crook and Pearl Harrellson Crook. He retired after 44 years of employment from the No. 1 Spinning Room of Cannon Mills. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Centerview Baptist Church and attended Franklin Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry J. Crook; and a wife, Ruth Smith Pennell Crook.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Brown Sechler; step-son, Leo Morgan and wife, Brenda, of Kannapolis; a sister, Helen Crook Whitley of Kannapolis; and a step-granddaughter, Rhonda Lee Sechler of Raleigh.
