Harry Rogers' Obituary
Mr. Harry Rogers, 83, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System - NorthEast in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Friday, May 6, 2016, at First Baptist Church. Dr. Tom Cabaniss will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service on Friday in the Fellowship Hall.
Mr. Rogers was born January 2, 1933 in Ozark, AL. He was a son of the late Clifton Rogers and Veron Riley Rogers. He was a graduate of Troy University and received his Masters at UNC-Greensboro. He worked at WT Grant for a number of years prior to teaching Marketing & Retailing at Rowan Cabarrus Community College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Rogers was a member of First Baptist Church in Kannapolis and was a former China Grove Town Alderman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Greg Rogers; and sister, Christine Rogers Gunter.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Sandra Davis Rogers; son, Geoff Rogers of Wildwood Crest, NJ; brother, Jerry Rogers and wife Edith of Bethania, NC; and four grandchildren, Grace, Jackson, Jersey, and Tallula.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church Haiti Mission Fund, 101 North Main Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
