Helen Adalyn King's Obituary
Mrs. Helen Miller King, 86, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015, after several years of declining health.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tim McQueen will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 am Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. King was born October 13, 1928 in Iredell County. She was a daughter of the late Rufus Clyde Miller, Sr. and Mae Belle Lipe Miller. She worked for Cannon Mills for 38 years in the cutting department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Faye Cook, Edith Matthews, and Evelyn Sexton; and two brothers, R.C. Miller, Jr., and Joe Miller.
Left to cherish Helen’s memory is her husband, John R. King, of 67 years; two daughters, Rickie K. Chappell and husband Gary of Charlotte, Beverly K. Leach and husband Wade of Charlotte; grandson, Wade Leach; granddaughter, Tammy C. Proctor and husband Keith; great grandson, Rhys Proctor; and several nieces and nephews.
