Hershel William Crisp's Obituary
Mr. Hershel William Crisp, 92, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015, at his home.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, July 3, 2015, at Lowell Church of God, 804 West 1st Street, Lowell, NC 28098. Pastor Joe Heffner will officiate. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Kannapolis Church of God and Friday from 12:30 to 1:45 pm at Lowell Church of God.
Mr. Crisp was born September 13, 1922 in Toccoa, GA. He was a son of the late Isom Crisp and Minnie McCurley Crisp. He is a US Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Crisp worked as a truck driver for Johnson Motor Lines and retired from Jefferson Pilot. He was a member of Kannapolis Church of God and Lowell Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Crisp; two sisters; and four brothers.
Mr. Crisp is survived by his wife, Marjorie Thelma Nichols Crisp; son, Rev. Samuel “Sam” Crisp and wife, Brenda of Kannapolis; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
