Howard Ralph Hagar, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Howard Ralph Hager, Sr., 67, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Concord Lake Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Howard Ralph Hager, Jr. and Rev. Mike Mullis will officiate. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 until 2:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.
Howard was born in Cabarrus County on January 29, 1943, a son of Rudie Morrow Hager and the late J.D. Hager. A member of Concord Lake Missionary Baptist Church, he was employed as a driver in the trucking industry.
In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by a great grandchild, Layla Renie Clinkscales.
Survivors in addition to his mother, Rudie Morrow Hager, include his wife of 50 years, Sondra Benton Hager: three children, Pastor Howard "Ralph" Hager, Jr. and wife Cathy of Kannapolis, Kenneth Reid Hager and wife Molly of Kannapolis and Rhonda Denise Barnhardt and her husband Philip of Salisbury; two brothers, Jerry Hager of Kannapolis and Glenn Hager of Albemarle; one sister, Mrs. Carol Bost of Salisbury; six grandchildren, Toni Benton and husband Jerry, Matthew Hager, Christopher Hager, Jerad Hager, Kandace Hager and Skylar Jaide Barnhardt; six great-grandchildren, Wyatt Benton, Trace Benton, Cheyenne Hager, Michael Strickland, Serenity Cline and Breanna Britt.
