Hoyt William Wyrick Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Hoyt William Wyrick, Sr., 90, of Mooresville, formerly of Kannapolis, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Wade Easom will officiate. Interment will follow.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Wyrick was born July 7, 1928 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Linwood Vance Wyrick and Rebecca Florence Allen Wyrick. He was a member of Living Water Church of God. He enjoyed working on cars of all kinds, especially Fords. Mr. Wyrick also loved spending time at the beach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Gibson Wyrick; two brothers, Howard Vance Wyrick and Douglas Dean Wyrick; and one sister, Adelle Chisholm.
Mr. Wyrick is survived by a daughter, Sandra McCurdy and husband Durrell of Mooresville; son, Hoyt William "Bill" Wyrick, Jr. and wife Patty of Kannapolis; sister, Grace Wyrick Hamilton of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Shelia M. McCarty and husband Brian and Jason Wyrick and wife Whitney; and four great grandchildren, Tyler and Courtney McCarty and Ryker and Daxton Wyrick.
