Ida Kasie Jordan's Obituary
Mrs. Ida Kasie Mangum Jordan, 97, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013, at her residence.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Max Smith and Rev. Darrell Coble will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pageland, SC. The body will lie in-state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jordan was born March 26, 1916 in Pageland, SC. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Laura Mangum and raised by her grandparents, James D. Mangum and Etta Haithcock Mangum. She retired from Cannon Mills where she worked in the washcloth and sheet departments. After retirement, she worked as a greeter at K-Mart. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coyt P. Jordan; brother, Gary Mangum; and infant twins, Carl and Carrie Mangum.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her niece, Brenda Barber and husband Buddy of Kannapolis; great nieces, Mary Anne Kennedy and husband Randy, Jenny Berg and husband Jason, and Kimberly Barber; great-great nieces, Elizabeth, Emma, and Kaitlyn Berg, and Akira and Jeffery Wallace; and a special thank you to her caregiver and friend, Angela Daniel.
