James Clayton Bodenheimer's Obituary
James “Clay” Clayton Bodenheimer, 44, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Epworth United Methodist Church. Rev. C. Wayne Allen and Rev. Mark Klass will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:00 pm Saturday, prior to the service, in the Parlor at Epworth United Methodist Church.
Clay was born on October 21, 1969 in High Point. He was a son of David Michael Bodenheimer, Sr. and Wanda Beeson Bodenheimer of Kannapolis. He was an electrical engineer. Clay was a dedicated father and Big Pappa, a wonderful uncle and a cherished brother. He had the ability to fix almost anything even if it took what he called “redneck engineering”. Clay was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends and family. He had a generous and humorous spirit. Clay will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Michael Bodenheimer, Jr..
In addition to his parents, Clay is survived by his wife, Jill Bolick Bodenheimer; two daughters, Alison and Hannah Bodenheimer of Concord; step daughter, Katherine Moore; two sisters, Faith Bodenheimer of Concord and Samantha Landry of Pensacola, FL; granddaughter, Madison Sarver; and a number of nieces and nephews.
