James Floyd Doolittle, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. James Floyd Doolittle, Sr., 62, of 1449 Circle Drive, China Grove, went to be with God, Saturday, March 18, 2006, after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel The Rev. Billy Honeycutt will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Born December 21, 1943, in Graniteville, SC, he was the son of the late Dewey Evans Doolittle, Sr. and Geneva Shehorn Doolittle. He was employed as a construction worker for Duke Power for 25 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean "Sissy" Doolittle.
Survivors include his wife, Zoe Barringer Doolittle; a son, James Floyd Doolittle, Jr.; a step-daughter, Kadette Kirkman Wilson; a step-son, Larry Kirkman, Jr.; six grandchildren, Brandon Doolittle, Britney Doolittle, Eddie Campbell, Chandler Widelski, Erika Wilson and Zane Wilson; and three sisters, Donna Bass and husband, Larry, Tammy Myers and husband, Timothy, and Kathy Talbert.
