James Franklin Eddleman's Obituary
Mr. James Franklin Eddleman, 85, of 1509 Carlton Avenue, Kannapolis, died Saturday, November 2, 2002, at NorthEast Medical Center, following a serious illness of two weeks.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2002, at Center Grove Lutheran Church. The Rev. Zachariah Harris III will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM Monday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence.
Born February 1, 1917, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late William Franklin Eddleman and the late Grace Idella Furr Eddleman. Mr. Eddleman retired several years ago from the Bleachery of Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills. He was a farmer and formerly worked for Southern Life Insurance Company. He was a US Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Gail Hatley and her husband, Horace, Joyce Bowles and her husband, Don, all of Kannapolis; one son, Harold Eddleman and his wife, Chris, of Kannapolis; one sister, Faith Stirewalt of Kannapolis; a caregiver, Frances T. Smith of Kannapolis; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
