James Franklin Greene's Obituary
Mr. James Franklin Greene, 91, of Terrell and formerly of Kannapolis passed away, Thursday, May 9, 2013, at CMC-NorthEast in Concord.
Graveside services are scheduled for 4:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Carolina Memorial Park. Dr. Johnny Pressley will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:45 pm Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
James was born July 23, 1921 in Kannapolis. He was a son of the late Thomas T. Greene and Fannie Richards Greene. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II. He retired from Cannon Mills Plant 4 in Kannapolis where he worked in the warehouse as a supervisor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faynell �Daze� Childers Greene in April 2010; two daughters, Janice Lynne Harmon Doty and Judy Faynell Greene that died as an infant; and sister, Mamie Hunsucker.
He is survived by his daughter, Frances Power Willingham of Kannapolis; son, J. Franklin Greene, Jr. and wife Sandy of Brea, CA; six grandchildren, Jana Fortner Nance, Jeff Power, Davey Power, Jennifer Harmon, Michael Greene and Hayden Greene; and seven great grandchildren.
