Janet Lillian Fowler's Obituary
Mrs. Janet Lillian Faw Fowler, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at Avante at Concord.
A private burial will be at a later date.
Mrs. Fowler was born August 16, 1929 in Wilkes County. She was a daughter of the late Lester Thomas Faw and Stella Bertha Osborne Faw. She was first employed by F.W. Woolworth’s in Kannapolis in the late 40’s and 50’s. She would later work for Cannon Mills in the Washcloth Department and eventually retire from Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte where she worked as a Psychiatric Technician.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joel V. Fowler, Jr., in 2008 and her sister, Brenda Faw Cooper.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by two daughters, Sharan F. Wilson and husband Jim of Concord and Michele F. Thompson and husband Steve of Kannapolis; two brothers Ernest Faw, Sr. of Landis and Garland Faw of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Jason Smith of Sherrills Ford, Matthew Smith, Christian Lombardo and Madison Lombardo, all of Kannapolis; and four great grandchildren.
The family would like say a special Thank You to the nursing staff at Avante for their excellent care and commitment to Janet’s comfort. They would also like to thank her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Gloria Fowler, for their help while Janet was at Avante.
