Janice "Faye" Clampet Wilhelm Absher's Obituary
Mrs. Janice "Faye" Clampet Wilhelm Absher, 84, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Trent Drye will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 am Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Faye was born March 11, 1940 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Hubert Parker Clampet and Mary Viola Aldridge Clampet. She was a member of First Baptist Church in China Grove and grew up at Elwood Lane Freewill Baptist Church in Kannapolis. In her earlier years, she was a substitute teacher and later owned and operated A&A Rentals in Kannapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Murray Ray Wilhelm and her second husband, Ervin Eugene Absher; six sisters, Mable Gross, Dorothy Stuart, Flossie Bostian, Eva Snow, Martha Sellers and Phyllis Lazenby; and her brother, Frank Clampet.
Faye is survived by her son, Michael Wilhelm of Salisbury; sister Mildred Black of Kannapolis; and two grandsons, Jeremy Wilhelm and Justin Wilhelm.
