Jerry Franklin Williamson's Obituary
Mr. Jerry Franklin Williamson, 67, of Moose Road in Kannapolis, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at his residence.
A funeral service is schuduled for 11:00 am Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Concord First Assembly. Pastor Tom Whidden will officiate. Burial with military rites will follow at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Jerry was born February 5, 1945 in Rowan County. He was a son of the late Coy William Williamson and Esther Shore Williamson. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Army for 10 years. He later retired after 30 years from the U.S. Postal Service. Jerry was a longtime member of Concord First Assembly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David "Dickie" Williamson; two sisters, Judy Earnhardt and Loraine Drye; and three nephews, Matt, Dale and Lynn.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Ann Williamson; son, Jerry "Wayne" Williamson and wife April of China Grove; two daughters, Anita Propst of China Grove and Kathy King of Rockwell; step-daughter, Sheila Wyrick of Kannapolis; three step-sons, Vinson Arnette, Eddie Arnette and wife Amy and Shannon Arnette, all of Kannapolis; four sisters, Vickie Parharm of China Grove, Jean Poplin and husband Monroe of Gold Hill, Pat Kluttz of Rockwell and Lynn Hedenskog of Salisbury; 15 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
