Jewel White Ivey's Obituary
Mrs. Jewel White Ivey, 91, of Caremore Place and formerly of Martin Circle, died Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 pm Sunday, August 15, 2010, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Dave Cash will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:15 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home prior to the service.
Mrs. Ivey was born May 15, 1919 in Madison County, GA. She was a daughter of the late Comus Nathaniel White and Mary Ada Brooks White. She retired from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital where she worked in central processing and was a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy M. Ivey.
Mrs. Ivey is survived by two daughters, Linda Bryant and husband, Winfred of Kannapolis and Sandra Stegall and husband, John of Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Tyron Ivey and wife, Joyce of Kannapolis; brother, Cecil T. White of Kannapolis; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren.
