John Wayne Bussard's Obituary
Mr. John Wayne Bussard, 71, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Kannapolis Church of God. Rev Sam Crisp and Rev. Barbara Watkins will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:45 pm Wednesday prior to the service at Kannapolis Church of God.
A second service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Bussard was born on March 19, 1942 in Breathedsville, MD. He was a son of Margaret Fae Baker Bussard Campbell of Williamsport, MD and the late John Francis Bussard who was killed in World War II and the late Herbert Edwin Campbell. He retired from residential construction. Mr. Bussard was a member of Kannapolis Church of God and was a member and past president of the Millbridge Ruritan Club.
In addition to his fathers, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Younker.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Bussard is survived by his wife, Helen Marie Fahey Bussard; daughter, Margaret Baxter and husband Andrew of Maynard, MA; son, John “Butch” Bussard and wife Lynne of Mt. Ulla; sister, Evalyn Marie Kochanik and husband Randall of Marlton, NJ; brother, David Campbell and wife Pamela of Fair Play, MD; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Millbridge Ruritan Club Scholarship Fund, 490 Sloan Road, Mt. Ulla, NC 28125.
