Contact me whenever y'all get the chance.
I am sorry to hear about Mr. Fry, We have been trying to get in touch with y'all but have been unable to. We send our condolences and have you all in our prayers. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Love, Lois, and Family.
Russell Fryer was a great man and friend who I am honored to have known. I first met him 33 years ago right after I graduated from pharmacy school. He was the Ciba rep for the store I managed and I always enjoyed visiting with him. He had a quick wit and a wealth of knowledge. I especially enjoyed listening to his stories about the war since my dad was also in the Army Air Corp during WW-II. Later when I bought the store and Russell retired, he became an indispensible resource for me as a relief pharmacist. In times of crisis, including when my daughter and also when my dad died, Russell was there to help and console me and my wife.
He and Lillian would join us in our company Christmas parties and we would go to local pharmacist association meetings together.
After I sold my store in 1996, I would only see Russell and Lillian at pharmacist meetings and eventually lost contact with them. I am sad to read today of Russell's passing and also that Lillian was gone. Had I known of Russell's condition, I would have come to North Carolina just to visit him one last time and talk about the good old days.
Jane, please know that your Mom and Dad were proud of you and your family and spoke of you often. They were truly special people and I will always remember them.
