Johnny William Moss' Obituary
Mr. Johnny William Moss, 83, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A memorial service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gene Beaver will officiate. Burial with military honors provided by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 11:45 am Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Moss was born July 26, 1933 in Allen County, KY. He was a son of the late John Moss and Martha Stinson Moss. He retired from JT Burrage Inc. where he was a driver. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in the Korean War aboard the USS Leyte Gulf. He was a member of Crown Pointe Baptist Church. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
Mr. Moss is survived by his wife of 24 years, Debra Burrage Moss; three sons, Ronnie Moss of Wilson, NC, Larry Moss of Jackson, GA and Johnny Moss and wife Shannon of McDonough, GA; and six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by special sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and his loving canine companions.
