Joy Falls Asbury's Obituary
Mrs. Joy Falls Asbury, 70, of 1416 Nottingham Road, Kannapolis, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2009 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Richard Rhoades and Dr. Hoke Ritchie will officiate. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at their respective homes.
Born December 5, 1938 in Kannapolis, she was the daughter of the late Jadie Murphy and Lottie Payne Murphy. She worked as a secretary at the Cabarrus County Courthouse.
Survivors include her husband, Relvin V. "R.V." Asbury, Jr.; two daughters, Carrie Falls Stallings and husband Terry of Florence, SC and Mona Falls Ingolia and husband Claude of Charlotte; a son, Samuel Ray Falls and wife Jane of Kannapolis; six grandsons, Garrett, Matthew, Taylor, Blake, Spencer and Caleb; two stepdaughters, Caroline Johnson and Priscilla Asbury, both of Wilmington; and a stepson, Andrew Asbury of Longwood, FL.
