Juanita Rimmer's Obituary
Mrs. Juanita Greene Rimmer of Evelyn Avenue passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Tucker Hospice House.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:30 pm Thursday, September 13, 2012, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Willie Rash will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service in The Amity House at Lady's.
Mrs. Rimmer was born in Rockingham. She was a daughter of the late Herbert Allen Greene and Glennie Phifer Greene. She was a beautician and cosmetologist for 57 years. Juanita was a very active member of Centerview Baptist Church where she was the Director of the Sunday school, as well as a teacher for 60 years. She was also a member of the church choir and the WMU (Women's Missionary Union). She was an avid gardener, decorator and cook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marcelyn Griffin.
Mrs. Rimmer is survived by her husband of 69 years, Kenneth M. Rimmer; two daughters, Ginger R. Holloway and husband Hurl of Concord and Jan R. Blume and husband Luke of Kannapolis; two nieces, Jill Roach and husband Doug of Kannapolis and Susie Kininmonth and husband James of Sussex, England; nephew, Scott Griffin and wife Suzanne of Mt. Holly.
Memorials may be sent to Centerview Baptist Church, 415 Walter Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
