Julius Clinton Eddings' Obituary
Mr. Julius Clinton "J.C." Eddings, 93, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at The Meadows in Rockwell.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, April 1, 2006, at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Steve Beam and the Rev. Trent Patterson will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of a son, Lewis Eddings, 7315 Old Concord Road, Salisbury.
Born February 12, 1913, in Union County, SC, he was the son of the late Ernest Edwin Eddings and Hattie Davis Eddings. He retired several years ago from the No. 1 Weave Room of Cannon Mills, Plant One. He was an active member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Eddings enjoyed music and was a member of the Senior Entertainer's Band.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Frances Rich Eddings and Ruth Parks Eddings.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Eddings and wife Eva of China Grove and Lewis Eddings and wife Sharon of Salisbury; three sisters, Ernestine Basinger, Betty Poteat and Nora Faye Lindholm, all of Kannapolis; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church, 314 W. 12th Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
