Kathleen Mae Cook's Obituary
Mrs. Kathleen Mae Holshouser Cook, 90, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Genesis HealthCare of Salisbury in Salisbury.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, June 13, 2016, at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church. Rev. Steve Beam, Rev. Ron Hathcock will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm Monday at North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church.
Mrs. Cook was born August 13, 1925 in Rowan County, NC. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Roy Holshouser and Elsie Laura Castor Holshouser. She worked for Cannon Mills as a weaver. She was a member of North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Cook; brother, Ben Holshouser; and sister, Ruth Davis.
Mrs. Cook is survived by daughter, Diane Smith and husband Don of Salisbury; sons, Ronald Cook of Landis, and Thomas Cook and wife Kim of China Grove; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; very special sisters-in-law, Carol Cook and Nancy Brown; and her very special dinner buddies, Yvonne Hinson and Betty Poteat.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to North Kannapolis Wesleyan Church, 314 West 12th Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
